CAIS does not peer with transit customers. Next-hop-self and consistent routing announcements at all exchange points are expected. CAIS filters RFC 1918 announcements—and several others such as localhost, 128.0.0.0/16, etc., inbound and outbound. Defaulting and other unethical practices are not tolerated.
